ESSENTIAL READS - Analyzing the Genocide

Dear Friends —

Each eve & morn we meditate on a dream, that your loved ones are safe during this time.

We will, despite the venomous spread of utter abhorrence, continue to provide for you a sanctuary, and a place to pull inspiration from.

If you’re looking for literature on the struggle between Israel and Palestine, we urge you to seek out a copy of They Called Me A Lioness by Ahed Tamimi & Dena Takruri. Tamimi, a Palestinian activist jailed at sixteen after a confrontation with Israeli soldiers, illuminates the daily struggles of life under occupation in this moving, deeply personal memoir.

The Land of Hope and Fear, by Isabel Kershner, is also an essential recommendation. It’s here we encounter Israelis: Jews and Arabs, religious and secular, Eastern and Western, liberals and zealots — plagued by perennial conflict and existential threats, citizens who remain deeply polarized politically, socially, and ideologically.

thanks for keeping us close by. this earth and its creatures are going through a time of great confusion and simultaneously -a time of great reparation and healing.

with love & strength — Gina
